Mrs. Kristin Burkholder, Denver Elementary Music Teacher
Welcome to music at Denver Elementary! My name is Mrs. Burkholder and I have taught at Denver Elementary for 9 years. I received my BS in Music Education from West Chester University in 2000 and I am currently working on my thesis for my masters degree from Lebanon Valley College. I live with my husband, my two wonderful children and my dog Bailey. I love to get to know ALL of my students, share stories and make connections. I feel so blessed to have a job that I love and can share my love for music with the students that come through my door. I am excited to share some exciting new songs and skills with you! Denver Elementary Music Room
To help keep my students focused and using appropriate behavior, each class is working toward keeping all four quarter notes in the measure. If a note is removed, they know to check their actions.
In order to maintain "class harmony" the students are able to accumulate points from my "Quarter Note Challenge" to work towards a music celebration which usually is a dance party or a musical game day.
